About Antonio Associates
Antonio Associates is a limited company formed of highly qualified and professional specialists, engineers who can provide independent advice and technical support to a wide range of clients. The company seeks to provide professional services in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, ground investigations, rock mechanics, soil mechanics and engineering materials. In addition, advice and support can be given locally for design, training and supervision.
Our areas of expertise cover the whole spectrum of geotechnical engineering services-those which are needed on the largest of land and marine civil engineering projects. Our experience covers the full scope of: land and marine investigation, rock and soil testing, design, QC of materials and right through to construction supervision.
Geotechnical projects may require the use of both soil and rock mechanics principles, use marine and land geophysics, field and laboratory testing of soils, rocks and provide quality control advice for construction materials.
Highway construction supervision, quality control for materials and on-site training are also areas of particular experience and expertise. Antonio Associates have worked and are familiar with ICE Conditions of Contract and FIDIC covering most situations for UK and overseas contracts. Local conditions of contract are also used. Specifications are generated in-house following UK, or other internationally recognized standards. The office operates with industry standard software, both WordPerfect Suite and Microsoft Office. These packages provide the backbone to all report writing and a fully digital telecommunication system is available in-house for rapid transmittal of large data files and video-conferencing if required, particularly useful for isolated sites such as off-shore operations. Specialist software is available for design and control. Several database applications have been developed for specific projects, ranging from TBM monitoring, site investigation data control to design simulation modelling. |
